Level 2 Beauty Therapist

The Level 2 Beauty Therapist Apprenticeship Standard is designed for individuals who are passionate about beginning a career in the beauty industry. This programme provides apprentices with the core practical skills, knowledge, and professional behaviours required to work effectively in a salon, spa, or beauty clinic environment.

Throughout the apprenticeship, learners develop competence in a range of beauty treatments including facials, waxing, manicure and pedicure services, eyebrow shaping, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, and basic make-up application. Apprentices also gain a strong understanding of health and safety, infection prevention and control, client consultation, anatomy and physiology, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Training combines hands-on experience in the workplace with structured off-the-job learning to ensure apprentices build both confidence and technical ability. Learners are supported by experienced tutors and industry professionals to ensure they meet national occupational standards and employer expectations.

At the end of the programme, apprentices complete an End-Point Assessment (EPA) to demonstrate their competence and readiness to work as a qualified Beauty Therapist.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship provides a solid foundation for employment within the beauty industry, with opportunities to progress into advanced beauty therapy qualifications, specialist treatment areas, or supervisory roles.
